491 SKILLED WORK REGIONAL VISA PROVISIONAL
The new 491 visa Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) subclass 491 visas will enable eligible skilled workers to obtain a provisional visa for up to 5 years. In order to qualify you must live and work in a regional area for a period of three years. After working and living in the regional area this will be a direct pathway for permanent residency visa.
Where are the regional areas?
Regional areas are everywhere Australia wide except the following cities: Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It was recently announced by the Federal Government that Perth and the city of the Gold Coast are now regional areas as well as in NSW, Wollongong and Newcastle.
What are the criteria to qualify for the visa?
